Privacy Policy
The Enterprise Wireless Solutions Center (hereinafter, the “Site”) was developed and is managed by the Enterprise Wireless Alliance (“EWA”). Your privacy on the Internet is important to us. Because we gather certain types of information about the users of the Site, we believe you should fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This Privacy Statement discloses what information we gather and how we use it. You are encouraged to also review our “Terms of Use” policy, which in part governs your rights and obligations for using this Site.
Information Collection and Use
EWA will collect information from users of our Site at different points on the Site. When you register on our Site or sign up to receive information from us, you become a registered “user,” and EWA will ask for your contact information (such as your name and email address) and your demographic information (such as your zip code, industry, and job function). If you choose not to register on the Site, EWA will not collect information about you, but your access to the full features of the Site will be limited. We use information you provide to tailor your experience at our Site, for example, showing you content and advertisements that we think might interest you. EWA may also ask for personal information at other times, such as when you request information from EWA, our customers, suppliers, and/or affiliated organizations. The information collected by EWA may be used in a number of ways. For example, EWA will share broad aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. EWA's goal in collecting personal information is to provide you, the user, with a satisfactory web experience and to provide our advertisers with an efficient means to reach users interested in their white papers, product information and/or demonstrations, case studies, brochures, and other product literature (“Content”). By knowing a little bit about you, EWA is able to deliver more relevant Content, advertisements, and connections to vendors to meet your needs, and hence a better service, to you.
With whom does EWA share my information?
If you are requesting assistance or Content, your contact information may be shared with one or more developers of the relevant product, service, application, technology, or solution you seek. Content available for download on EWA's site may be offered in conjunction with a partner company who may be an advertiser with EWA. Your information is shared with the partner company so that they may provide you with additional information or further assistance.
Promotion and Direct Mail
Our Site provides you with the choice to receive promotional emails from EWA and/or its partners. If you choose to receive promotional emails from EWA and/or its partners, you will be giving EWA permission to access your information on behalf of pre-screened third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We will not share your information with these pre-screened partners unless you have opted in to receive promotional emails from such partners. If you have chosen to receive such emails and later change your mind, you can remove yourself from this distribution list via a link in the communication or by unsubscribing at this site. EWA and/or its partners may also send direct mailings to your postal address from time to time. If you do not want to receive direct mailings from EWA and/or its partners, you can remove yourself from this distribution list by notifying us through the link set forth below. In addition to EWA, agents working on behalf of EWA under confidentiality agreements, and certain suppliers who are in contract with EWA, may contact you about products and services that may be of interest to you via e-mail, direct mail, or phone. EWA does not control or monitor communications conducted by these suppliers.
Cookies
A cookie is a computer file containing bits of information about the user’s computer and it is stored on the user's computer by a web browser software program. Cookies do not contain any personally identifiable information. We use cookies to be reminded of who you are and to access your account information (stored on our computers) in order to deliver to you a better and more personalized service. This cookie is set when you register on this Site and it helps EWA make it easier for users when filling in certain forms, and to also simplify the login process. Cookies are also used by EWA to track site visits and to estimate our audience size. Each user’s computer accessing the Site is given a unique cookie which is then used to determine repeat usage versus initial usage, to help in targeting ads based on user interests, and to help us offer a better experience for future visits. In the course of serving advertisements to this site, third-party advertisers may place or recognize a unique "cookie" on your computer. The setting of cookies is a common practice in the Internet industry. You may disable cookies via your browser, but that may limit your experience on our Site.
IP Addresses
We may use IP addresses for purposes of system administration, and to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. This is a common practice in the Internet industry. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Links
This web site may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that EWA is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of every web site if it collects any personally identifiable information. This Privacy Statement applies solely to information collected by EWA’s Site.
Tell an Associate
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a colleague about our Site, we ask them for the colleague’s email address. EWA will automatically send the colleague an email inviting them to visit the Site to view the content recommended by the user. We may include the colleague in future marketing programs but will always allow them to opt out of future communications, whether via email or other mail.
Site and Service Updates
We also send the user site and service announcement updates. Users are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.
Notification of Changes, Conflicts
If we decide to change our Privacy Statement, we will post those changes here so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. This page reflects the most up-to-date version of our Privacy Statement, and thus takes precedence over information provided in past documents.
